It's a standalone program! Just download and run the executable file (whoa, Windows bias), and when you're done you can either delete it or keep it around, no uninstallation required. Easy and clean, and because each ending offers the option to go back, achieving every ending can be accomplished quickly.

Walkthrough
This walkthrough offers step-by-step instruction on completing the game with the smallest number of clicks. It will also help if you're not sure which story flag you've not yet hit in order to progress, if you're uncertain where to go, or if you're missing anything.
The narrative is fairly short and linear, but the player can visit different areas at any time and have conversations with no bearing on the plot. This is included to create a sense of exploration and choice and to differentiate it from a visual novel that just happens to include decisions occasionally. There are also several different endings.
Upon arriving at the university, speak to Terezi
Optional: Return to Terezi before finding any clues for a small conversation that's inaccessible later
Go to library
Return to Terezi
Visit library
Optional: Go to dorms and think about clues for a small amount of dialogue that's inaccessible later
Visit dorms
Make decision
This appears in the menu for Karkat and Sollux's dorm if all the clues have been gathered. Making a decision forces a transition to the endgame.
SPOILER ALERT (highlight text to read):
Endgame:
There are various branches that can be pursued, but all of them have three basic characteristics.

After the neutral end, return for...

Upon arriving at the university, speak to Terezi
Optional: Return to Terezi before finding any clues for a small conversation that's inaccessible later
Go to library
- Examine course catalogue (broodfester and advanced summoning classes)
- Examine dimensional book (first section): other sections are relevant but don't involve variables
- Ask Rose for list of suspicious books, meet Tavros
Return to Terezi
- Ask to see the enrollment lists (it should be possible to see the lists for the Broodfester and Summoning Circle classes)
- Ask about all of the students (if everything has been examined it should be possible to ask about Feferi, Aradia, Tavros, Rose, and Terezi)
Visit library
- Ask Tavros for suspicious book lists (Key of Solomon, Book of Eibon, Vermis Mysteriis)
- Speak to Rose about her experiences and about the library basement
- Look around basement
Optional: Go to dorms and think about clues for a small amount of dialogue that's inaccessible later
Visit dorms
- Speak to Feferi
- Speak to Aradia
- Examine clues
- Speak to Feferi again
Make decision
This appears in the menu for Karkat and Sollux's dorm if all the clues have been gathered. Making a decision forces a transition to the endgame.
SPOILER ALERT (highlight text to read):
- Selecting Rose or Feferi results in Aradia as an escort to the endgame.
- Selecting Aradia or Tavros results in Rose as an escort to the endgame.
- Selecting Rose, Aradia, or Tavros will result in one ending if the summoning is prevented.
- Selecting Feferi will result in a different ending if the summoning is prevented.
- Other endings are the same regardless of who you choose.
Endgame:
There are various branches that can be pursued, but all of them have three basic characteristics.
SPOILER ALERT (highlight text to read):
- Attempting to stop Feferi directly while conversing with her will result in her being reluctantly forced to kill Sollux, with Karkat dying after refusing to abandon him. This is the Bad End.
- Allowing Feferi to explain and agreeing to join her will open a second scene in which Karkat arrives and lets Sollux make his own choice about whether or not to try to stop the summoning. This is the Chaotic Neutral End.
- Delaying Feferi via conversation without agreeing with her results in Karkat arriving and helping Sollux prevent the summoning. This is the Lawful Good End, and depending on which character you chose to accuse earlier, the final scene for this ending varies.
Optional:
After the good end, return for...
- Sollux/Karkat conversation in the dorms
- Gamzee conversation in the cafeteria
- Nepeta conversation in the cafeteria
After the neutral end, return for...
- Sollux/Karkat conversation in the dorms
- Davesprite conversation in the cafeteria

This was a really nifty game. Great setting and plot and I loved all the branching conversations.
